Bridging - May 17, Congratulations Breanna

I am so proud of my girl. She has worked so very hard this year. I love seeing the young woman she is growing into. Breanna, not only bridged to Cadettes....BUT, she earned the highest honor any Junior Girl Scout could earn. Breanna received her Bronze award. She worked more than 15 hours community service to earn this award.

Her sash is filled front and back with all of her achievements from last year and this year. Way to go Baby Girl!

Breanna and I.

SPRING 2010

This has been some wild weather we have been having lately. Cold nights and warm days. Makes the thunderstorms we having seem very LOUD! Just before our last big thunderstorm, I took the kids out for the day.

Norm hadn't been feeling well and wasn't able to sleep. He had come home from work and went to bed after I had left for a Girl Scout event. There was a tree behind our house which had fallen into the neighbor's yard during one of our snow storms a little over a month ago...so of course the neighbor picks this past Saturday to cut it up....so NO sleep for Norm.

When I got back home, they were seemingly done so I gathered up the kids, and took them for a ride while he went back to bed to cut a few logs of his own. I took them to two different parks and surveyed the area a bit to find a few good spots for pictures.....and here are a few of my favorites...
Our fields are full of wild flowers....and are starting to recover from the harsh cold of winter. We are starting to see the random combines in the fields planting again. This is one I couldn't resist letting the children run in...they had a blast, and were worn out when they got home. They all went to bed early.
Next are my little monkeys. Yes wrinkles and all....I wanted so bad to iron this shirt...but then on second though....this is truly being a boy and thought it might add character to the picture. They rarely like to pose for a picture but this day they were great together, and actually let me take their pictures. They were goofing around and I started making goofy faces at them and actually caught the oldest and youngest in a full on laugh.

This is my beautiful girl. She totally blesses my soul...she's not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well. So hard to believe she will be ELEVEN in a just a few short weeks. MY 'O MY where does time go? The barrette's I have been making have been a hit and this one perfectly matched the shirt.
Thanks for dropping by and taking a peek into our little corner of the universe.
