My babies, first rollercoaster ride - "The Rebel Yell".
Jamie took Breezy, and Norm took Sammy and they literally took the plunge and rode their first rollercoaster. They are in the first two seats of the blue coaster.

The looks on their face was priceless....My little girl didn't flinch, and wanted to go again, I was just praying that the thing did indeed stop at the bottom.

We took a picnic dinner to the park. When we started getting ready to eat I looked down to find a little sparrow waiting for the left overs. I was able to get within a couple of feet of it and couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of this little guy...he was adorable.

When you have had a long day, and everyone is exhausted something funny is bound to happen, at least that's the case in our family. We get home from "KD" and everyone is beyond exhausted. FOR ONCE, I actually went to sleep without tossing and turning for hours, contemplating the day, tomorrow, and life in general. I finally went to sleep somewhere around eleven....only to be awaken at one in the morning by someone tapping on my bedroom door. I think to myself, incoherently, great....Breezy is having a nightmare from the rides today. So I open the door to see what looks like a refreshed Bre standing there and telling me, "Mom, I need you to come help me play this game..I need your help." I am sitting there thinking, with all the thought I could muster at that point...."WHAT?"....she keeps repeating herself and all I can get to come out of my lips is ..."WHAT?"...finally after about the fifth time she gives up and says nevermind and goes back to lay down. Luckily the dog had slept all day while we were gone to KD, as he followed her into the living room where she crashed on the couch to keep an eye on her. She managed to let the dog out, leave the backdoor standing wide open....dog outside.....and passed back out on the couch, and didn't remember a THING when she got up. Norm had to get up to go to work and thought she had woke up early and let him out already, but after much discussion and I remember telling her to let him out....figured out he stayed out there all night and the backdoor was open since one in the morning.

She and Jordan have always been my sleepwalkers...but it's usually a long period in between when it happens..and I thank heavens we have dogs that will bark when you go to the door as frequent as a door alarm.

Kids are out of school!

Where to start? We have had a wonderful first couple of weeks of summer break. The kids are getting a bit stircrazy, but we are managing. They will be starting a summer reading program in a week or so at our local library. Things are pretty relaxed right now and we are just enjoying being a family.

We will be going to King's Dominion again Wednesday, so I should have lots to share next week when I get a chance to edit pictures.

OH and my wonderful husband surprised me last weekend with the camera I have been asking for. I needed "better pictures" of course ...for my business, and he after some argument...."You aren't getting another camera.."....and he surprised me with it last Friday. I have been having some wonderful fun with it, and you are welcome to check out my business blog and take a peek at my photography.

I have some more pictures we took last night but I haven't downloaded and watermarked them yet for the web. Thanks for taking a peek into my little corner of the universe and reading my ramblings.....more updates soon!

Happy Father's Day to all.

Father's being Fathers, Mother's stepping up to play both roles, Mom's who are single and raising your own.....Today's the day I commend you.

As a child I always made little cards, and picture drawings and gave to my dad on Father's Day....I didn't think of all the sacrafice they make for their children, until I became a mom.

I have been there and had to fill the "fatherly shoes" (thanks to military deployments.) It is days like today that I am thankful that I have a husband to share that role with. Salutes to all of you!

WOW...Looks like,

....I have been neglecting my blog a little bit.

I have turned this into my personal blog, and left the scrap and business side to my other blog:©PAL Around Scraps 'N Photography.

I am not removing the old freebies from this site for now, maybe one day.

Since I am working full time trying to get my business going, I have been working on my site over there and kind of let this one slide a bit. Click on the link above to see my most recent photography journals....

I will get to scrapping and sharing over here again soon.

My mom just left yesterday after a two month visit, and today was the boys Fun Field Day at their school. Besides being about as hot as boiling water....I think they all had a wonderful time. (PS there are lots of photos over there)
